How is architecture similar to e-leaning?My father is an architect, so I grew up next to him, doodling on a drawing board, observing how he untangled and shaped his clients’ ideas into a structured blueprint, and then how he actually constructed a unique space for them to live or work. Now I go through the same process: listening to my client’s needs, structuring them into a blueprint, and fashioning them into an engaging e/learning environment.
Hi! My name is Carolina Gavilanes. I am the learning architect that you have been looking for, and I am ready to create and build a learning experience together. I have worn many hats during my 20 years in the education field. I have been a university professor, an elementary teacher, and a high school, middle school and elementary learning specialist. I have an Instructional Designer Certification, a Master's Degree in Special Needs in Education, a Master's degree in Elementary Education, and a B.A. in Education with a mention in Psychology. Before moving to the US, I took the leap from being a salaried employee to co-found my own learning center for students with learning differences. Currently, I live in California, where I combine work as an Educational Consultant, an Instructional Designer and an online Adjunct Professor at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. I am also a dedicated mother and a happily married wife. |
